From the time we begin through the first year of college, we build a comprehensive plan designed especially for your child to pave their path to success. Starting with values education, we identify student interests, values, and goals. We help select challenging courses that align with student goals and maximize available resources to strengthen college applications. Extracurricular involvement is promoted with an emphasis on leadership and community engagement. We offer social support through ongoing academic life coaching. We assist in researching and building a strong college list, guide students on when to start preparing for standardized tests, help them self-advocate, maintain a strong GPA, and build a strong resume that best reflects who they are. We spend time understanding and completing applications, writing impressive essays, gathering recommendations, and meeting deadlines. Post-application, we help with the decision-making process to make informed acceptance decisions. This comprehensive roadmap ensures a smooth and successful journey from high school to college acceptance and through the first year of adjusting to college life, taking the stress out of the process and maximizing opportunities for the student so you can enjoy senior year with your child.
Students can be busy people. Extracurricular activities, sports, part-time jobs, community service, and more keep can keep them from being 9-5 people. That's why I minimize the number of students I take. I want to make sure to be available when they are. I don't mind meeting after regular hours and on weekends. During essay writing and the application period, I am available when they need it. Students have my cell phone number and can text or call me when they need help so they don't have to wait.
Finding a school that fits athletically and academically is the key to success. Navigating the recruiting process can be stressful and confusing. I can help you prepare for recruitment by researching schools, and programs, contacting coaches, utilizing social media to maximize exposure, and knowing which camps and showcases to attend. We work together to prepare to talk to coaches. I can help you understand what to expect and understand what coaches are looking for. Student-athletes can have a different application timeline and can have a different application process. I understand and can help navigate the process. Like a fingerprint, every athlete's journey is unique. We support athletes and families through the process.
